i love my s2000s and my gsr. im really holding out for the new type r. the newest car i have is 14 years old and i need a new daily. i wish i woulda bought the fk8 new…the new ctr looks like itll perform better, but i love the look of the fk8

Yeah im surprised we havent seen the new type r without the camo or released some specs as far as HP and TQ but it must be coming very soon i would believe and i think the front end could be promising but im not a fan of the rear. Overall i believe the current type r will be the better car

agreed. i think the thing i like the least about the rear is the wing. the mugen fk8 wing looked nice to me. the new ctr wing looks kinda small and light…i love the clean look on hondas, but the stock ctr/itr wings always were a little more admirable/different…this one seems to look super plain

Got everything i need to refresh the brakes except the rear pads hopefully theyll be in by next weekend. Also picked up this rust remover product and tried it on the power steering hose, came out pretty good i think, replaced with new bolts while i was messing with it. First photo is from before i used the product for reference
Got to install the rotors,pads and calipers today, was so smooth and easy seeing as previous owner had them replaced about 2-3k miles ago but with all NAPA parts. So all the rotor set screws came out with ease which in my experience are always a P.I.T.A. Little spray wax on the trailing arms, dust shields and suspension springs and it cleaned up so nicely. All in all very happy cant wait to get the tires for the new Si wheels and finish up this part of the build!

TIRES are in! Hopefully have time to ceramic coat the wheels tomorrow and get tires mounted this week. Went with yokohama advan fleva’s in stock sizing, same tires im currently running on my s2000.
Tires mounted and looking awesome, hit the stock lug nuts with some mothers polish and came out pretty good.
