Awesome build man! I have a Dual carb sedan and i hope to add some trumpets eventually
Been a while since I updated here, loads of calls and searching for a new place to go with the cars.
Found something in october and finally got the keys end of december, itβs really close to where I was before so been moving loads of parts over. I think that about 80% of my stuff is moved over not counting the cars. My buddy is moving with me but he still has loads of stuff to move. We are bringing over his 4 post lift too.
Now itβs just sorting tru stuff getting it organised, but Iβm pretty sure I have all my parts in my hands a couple of times more trying to figure out the best placement.
Place is about 2600 square feet, but we have 7 cars to place and tyhe 4 post lift so it will be pretty full once itsβ all moved over. + we would like to keep a bit of space for the daily driver to be parked inside too if we need to do anything to that aswell.
Few pictures
Still have loads of cleaning to do also, there are 2 seperate office spaces, one of them will probably be a sort of hanging out area because it has a door and can be heated seperate. Because this used to be a factory itβs not really insulated and as you can see in the last pictures one of the neighbours was burning some wood and the wind blew in all the smoke because his gate was open.
Life has bumps or hills to get over with time. Saying that i picked up the wrench too after being paused on my build.
Saying that your build is coming along way too sweet even with the pause. Even from the last post i read to the end . Also congrats the garage/working space.
Thx man, I will be very glad this thing will be on the road again. With finding a new warehouse I got some motivation back aswell, few things I want to change or do better. Now itβs just getting all the parts and cars moved and everything a bit in itβs place.
2 weeks ago we moved the 4 post lift, not in any legal way what so ever but it saved us a bunch of time not taking it apart and building it back up.
All my cars got moved this past week, big thank you to my buddy Alain for the help.
Filling up fast and still 3 more cars to move over here, but need to clean up a bit and get stuff in itβs place before we can do that. 2 workbenches got moved yesterday so now we have a bit of an idea where to put those and then we can dismantle all the cabinets in the old place and get them on the wall here too.
Happy late birthday! Thank you for updating us with the shop and car situation. Iβm glad to see you getting situated at the new place. Hope it gets sorted out to your comfortable liking as the last place.
Iβm already likeing this place more, mostly because I have all my cars indoors now and I donβt need to keep ducking. The beams at the previous place where really low and it kept hitting my head.
Will be another few weeks before I can start working on the car again but all in good time, already have a few parts on order so we can dive right back in
Lookig good man!
Where did you get those trumpets for the carbs? I finally got mine running properly after a rebuild.
Thank you.
I need to check my links, not sue if it was in Austria or Switzerland. Iβll see if I can find that link for you when I got some reel free time.
Time for a new update,
Mostly still been moving stuff over, rearranging the place to fit everything in and will probably be doing that a couple of times more. I think we are down to the last big thing to move and thatβs the compressor and my buddyβs first car his golf 2.
Still need to get a pallet shelf over too because we are about out of wall space but the parts cleaner and drip tray need a place against the wall and that way my wheels can go on the shelf and the big things can go under it.
Got a few things done to the civic aswell, needed to get motivated again because if I donβt continue on it this summer itβs gonna be another full year.
Got the car in the air again, tested out my SSR MK2rβs with the EP3 calipers and also my Advan Sa3rβs, both clear so very happy with that.
Cleaned out the car because when we moved it I just filled it up with parts.
Started on removing the rear suspension so it can all be refurbished and put back and I can also coat the inside of rear wheelarches again.
Also got the new warehouse feeling a bit more me. My ESSO advertising sign working again and up on the wall, banners up along with cabinets on the wall, cleand up the parts cleaner and gave it a lick of paint, β¦
